School cafeteria

New expansion puts daylight on the menu

Following the introduction of longer school days, the Carl von Ossietzky high school in Bremerhaven opted to construct an expansion to accommodate a new school cafeteria and meeting hall. The significant transparency of the cube shaped building is a quality that reflects the school philosophy. The bright interior is supported by a VELUX longlight solution, strategically placed right above the serving area.

In 2014 the building received the prestigious BDA-Preis Bremen, which honours new quality architecture in the cities of Bremen and Bremerhaven.
